Who we are

The SIC wants to improve its tax service and contact. Our objective is to meet the growing demand for information on the background to and implementation of tax law from private individuals and industry alike. The SIC is intended to provide information on official responsibilities and on the existing administrative services available.

General information and other services for which the Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt) is responsible have been combined for the sake of simplifying access. The SIC will provide foreign investors with details of the fiscal aspects of planned inward investment in Germany or other relevant information. The range of services will be tailored to the need of private individuals and businesses.

Information and services will be available from a call centre, a dedicated website and an on-line brochure service. Any information provided will be strictly non-binding and will have no influence on official decisions by other departments. Under no circumstances will the SIC provide individual legal or financial advice. It will merely help people to help themselves.
