Roles:
Since 1995, the Post and Telecommunications Pension Fund (UK PT) has been the statutory accident insurer for the approximately 400,000 employees of the public limited companies created from the former Deutsche Bundespost, their subsidiaries and many other institutions. As the only statutory accident insurer, the UK PT is responsible for both the statutory accident insurance of the employees of its member businesses and also accident compensation for the officials working there. A further special feature of the UK PT is that, following an accident suffered by an employee, it asserts claims for compensation on behalf of the respective employer. The UK PT is based in Tübingen. The Darmstadt and Berlin offices, our industrial medical staff and other supervisors are responsible for accident prevention.
