- Salary payment procedures for around 252,000 government employees (approximately €1 billion/month) and family allowances for around 1.4 million children
- Capital gains tax and corporation tax refunds (18 million accounts)
- Operation of the budget accounting system with around €2 billion transferred each working day
- Auction of goods confiscated by German customs ( www.zoll-auktion.de, which has 30,000 registered users)
- Operation of an e-payment platform (BundOnline), which has an annual turnover of around €40 million
- ATLAS: automatic customs clearance. Round the clock service for all 351 customs offices
- (Ports, airports and border posts)
- European network with 10 million goods movements
- Intensive exchange of data with business (over 2.1 million EDI messages per month)
- Studies and Employment Market Information System (ISA), Traffic Safety Institute (IVA), Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) and Export Benefits (AIDA) websites which generate 14,000 hits per month
